Alumni Shai M. Dromi and Samuel D. Stabler Publish in Theory & Society

February 25, 2019

Department alumni Shai Dromi (Harvard University) and Samuel Stabler (Hunter College) published a new co-authored article in Theory & Society. The article examines how scientific disagreements between sociologists attain moralistic tones, and how scholars engage (or avoid) controversy in such contexts. As a study case, Dromi and Stabler analyze the historical debates over the secularization thesis in the sociology of religion.
