Adora studied international development with a focus on South Asia as an undergraduate, then worked in nonprofit communications; while at the Wikimedia Foundation, her work included managing campaigns around women’s history and representation on Wikipedia. At Yale, she hopes to focus on research questions related to gender, power, and space: what is a woman’s “right to the city”? How is this affected by factors including perceptions of safety, pervasiveness of surveillance, and options for mobility?
