Bio
Alex Yan is a PhD student in Sociology at Yale University. As a network scholar, his research interests span economic sociology, organizations, work, and technological innovation. His research includes two intertwined lines of study: 1) measuring social structure through textual data; 2) examining the interplay between culture, politics, technology, and labor markets. Currently, Alex is investigating the shift toward global and virtual workspaces among transnational corporations and its consequences.
