Jessie Dong is a PhD student in Sociology and Junior Fellow at the Center for Cultural Sociology. Her current research explores film, particularly documentary film, as meditators of social reality. Her B.A. thesis explored a refugee-led walking tour in Berlin and proposed an analytical framework with which to evaluate the efficacy of such performative political interventions.
