Recent graduate Samuel Nelson and Professor Philip Gorski have a new article out in the journal International Sociology, titled “Conditions of religious belonging: Confessionalization, de-parochialization, and the Euro-American divergence. In it, they present a new account of different trajectories of secularization and religious change in Europe and America, and emphasize the transition to modernity in religious change. Congratulations to Sam and Phil!
