Professor Rene Almeling published a new book in August titled GUYnecology: The Missing Science of Men’s Reproductive Health (University of California Press). She uses historical and qualitative methods to examine why there has been so little attention to men’s reproductive health, and she discusses the implications of this gap for medical research, health care, gender norms, and reproductive politics. The book has been reviewed in New Scientist, and Professor Almeling wrote a piece about it for Elle Magazine. You can see an interview she did with th Executive Director of the University of California Press here and a Q&A with YaleNews here.
