Associate Professor of Sociology (by courtesy) Marissa King has been awarded tenure at the Yale School of Management. Professor King is an affiliate of the Yale Institute of Network Science (YINS) and has advised undergraduate sociology majors on their senior theses. Her research examines network-based innovation and learning dynamics within the healthcare sector. King’s current work analyzes factors associated with the adoption, diffusion, and utilization of mental health medications. Her research has attempted to explain phenomena ranging from the precipitous rise in autism diagnoses to the rapid expansion of the market for mental health medications. King’s work has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and on NPR, among other media outlets. Congratulations Marissa!
