Rene Almeling’s Sex Cells Garners Diana Forsythe Prize and Best Book Award from ASA Section

Professor Rene Almeling’s book Sex Cells: The Medical Market for Eggs and Sperm (University of California Press), has been awarded both the Best Book Award from the ASA Section on Body and Embodiment and the 2012 Diana Forsythe Prize. The Forsythe prize, given annually to “the best book on gender, work, science, technology, and medicine,” is jointly awarded by two sections of the American Anthropological Association. Read More >>
