Graduate student Shai Dromi just published new research in the journal Sociological Inquiry on the communicative functions of money in the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. In it he argues that, through demands for compensation, settlers resisted shame and devaluation when evicted by the state through their uses of competing logics of valuation. Congratulations, Shai!
